When it comes to healthy living, excellent hygiene is non-negotiable. And to achieve that in our hectic lives, a vacuum cleaner can work wonders.
Being an interior designer, when I set out to buy one for myself, I wanted to ensure a few things in the product by all means. After a good look around, the one brand that stood out was Miele.
In this review, I outline the advantages and drawbacks of three excellent products from Miele, hoping it helps you out on your next shopping spree. I used each of them for a week, and also had them inspected by my neighbor, a household appliance expert. So, this review is one you can trust.
The products below are exceptional in their functioning and durability, and leave their counterparts behind by a considerable margin. What’s more, they also excel in terms of aesthetics!
So go on, take a look. Miele understands that your home deserves only the best. It’s about time you see that for yourself!
Miele Upright Vacuum Reviews 2020
Agile and efficient, the Cat and Dog vacuum cleaner from Miele is a handy product to keep close. Its advanced technology ensures your home is sparkling clean, and the quirky design is bound to get visitors talking. With a number of attractive features on offer, this device proves to be a good buy.
Why Buy It?
What struck me first is its incredible agility. I can reach the trickiest corners and have it lie flat against the floor for superior cleaning. The rotating body allows for further ease of access and maneuverability, and the cleaner works perfectly well on upholstery when adjusted to the right suction setting.
Furthermore, I can vouch for its operational efficiency. Fitted with a multitude of air filters and motor protection devices, the unit remains clean and functional even after heavy-duty sessions. Not only is it exceedingly versatile, but it also scores high on operational efficiency!
Speaking of which, a few features definitely stand out. The device automatically notifies you to change the bag in case of a blockage, thus saving time. What augments such time-efficiency is a nifty switch to toggle between bare floors and carpets with ease.
Cleaners are sometimes discredited as being incompatible with pets. Not this one, though! The Active and Super Air Clean filters with their carbon cassettes are adept at absorbing odors from dust bags, leaving you with little to worry about. All in all, this is a high-performing, sturdy vacuum that gives you no cause for concern.
- Bundles Includes - Miele's AH30 U Performance Pack - Comes With 16 Genuine Miele U Airclean FilterBags, 1 Genuine Miele HEPA Air Clean Filter AH-30 and 4 Pre-Motor Protection Filters
What Could Have Been Better?
Although easy to operate, the vacuum is slightly heavy which might pose a problem in maneuverability. Also, it is priced at the higher end of the scale and may not suit all budgets. But it does offer what very few cleaners do, and for that reason itself, the hefty price tag is justified!
- High flexibility
- Impressive accessory storage
- LED lights for ease of navigation
- A tad bit heavy
Miele Blizzard CX1 Review 2020
As the first bagless vacuum cleaner from Miele, this appliance stands out in a number of ways. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and a sturdy German build, it makes light work of all conceivable cleaning woes and demands little maintenance while at it.
Why Buy It?
It was by sheer chance that I came across the Blizzard CX1, and thank goodness I did. Quiet and powerful, it employs Vortex Technology to deep-clean and offers flexible suction control through the Rotary Dial. The various brushes add to its versatility and reach inaccessible places with ease.
Moreover, the reason I hold the product in high esteem is due to its attention to refined cleaning. It comes with a fine dust filter that keeps allergens at bay while offering a self-cleaning function on the side. To further enhance operation, the dusting brush is located right on the handle which makes functioning considerably simpler.
A review of the device remains incomplete unless I mention its durability. Constructed with top-notch German engineering, this cleaner isn’t one to fall short of expectations. While the HEPA filter ensures maintenance-free operation, the Click2Open technique allows for hygienic emptying. Additionally, Miele offers a stunning warranty. However, given the brand’s efficiency, I doubt I will be needing it!
All things considered, the Blizzard CX1 proves to be an excellent companion, especially given my schedule as an interior designer. It’s going to remain among my top recommendations!
- This powerful but quiet German-engineered Miele bagless canister vacuum has a Turbo Brush Floorhead for low-medium pile carpet, and a Parquet Twister floorhead with soft bristles for hard floors.
What Could Have Been Better?
It’s hard to find fault with this one, and I found close to nothing to criticize. The only aspect where the CX1 could improve is its functioning on hardwood floors and the ability to tackle pet hair. However, the market is flooded with quality cleaners for the purpose and it’d do well to keep in mind the salient features only offered by this appliance!
- Strong and flexible suction
- Tackles fine dust particles
- Maintenance-free operation
- Not compatible with hardwood floors
- Difficulty in removing fur
Miele Classic C1 Review 2020
The third Miele product I used and loved was the Grey Classic C1, a reliable companion on all my cleaning sprees, as it turned out. It made full use of its powerful motor and had me wanting very little. What’s more, it’s super chic!
Why Buy It?
In my experience, the motor is the primary factor that determines a cleaner’s capacity for work; everything else is secondary. This model is far from disappointing in this case. The Vortex motor offers a high suction power of 1200W which allows for superior combination cleaning. In addition to that, it also features adjustable settings that enhance power efficiency.
The internal cleaning system is something I am cautious about, having faced problems with umpteen devices previously. However, the Classic C1 put my doubts to rest. Its AirClean system is unique in its capacity for filtration which is optimized by means of a filter bag, motor protection, and exhaust filters. This appliance clears the air, quite literally!
Lastly, Miele’s cleaner is a clear winner when it comes to maneuverability. Lightweight and nimble, the device is designed for easy reach around and under furniture, and I had no trouble reaching the stuffiest of store-rooms! Again, the settings allow you to alternate between floor and upholstery, thus guaranteeing smooth operation.
- This powerful but quiet German-engineered bagged canister vacuum has a combination floor head that is ideal for cleaning hard floors. High suction power – 1,200 W
What Could Have Been Better?
Detecting a drawback in this model is incredibly difficult; the Classic C1 ticks all the boxes and then some. The only deterrent is probably the hefty price tag. Pricier than most, it surpasses its counterparts’ by quite a margin. But then again, it does the same in terms of service as well! In my books, the product is well worth the expense.
- Superior suction and powerful motor
- Enhanced filtration capacity
- Extended durability
As an interior designer, I am always on the lookout for something extra for every home and can vouch for all three products from Miele in this regard.
Designed mindfully, each model is ideal for unique functions. The Cat and Dog cleaner scores high on operational efficiency and gives the user a breeze of a vacuuming experience. The only slight disadvantage is the weight, though it’s no deal-breaker.
If it’s deep-cleaning with a maintenance-free operation that you’re going for, then the Blizzard CX1 is the ideal option. It does have its problems with compatibility but barring that, the device is excellent. Also, the price tag is very reasonable!
The Classic C1 is a chic little thing that exceeds your expectations in terms of performance. A highly efficient model, it gives you hardly a thing to complain about. Although it’s expensive, I’d suggest you consider the perks before crossing it off.
All in all, they’re all exceptional in their own ways.
